Maraval woman found dead at home

A 65-year-old Maraval woman was found dead at her home on August 6.

A relative of Anjanee Lutchman-Isidore saw her lying on the ground in the kitchen of her two-storey Saut D'Eau Road home at around 5.30 pm.

The relative called the police, who arrived minutes later.

Lutchman-Isidore’s body was found face down behind a grey metal kitchen door. There was blood on her head.

The district medical officer pronounced her dead and ordered her body to be removed.

The police have classified her death as a homicide, but have not yet determined a motive.

Investigations are ongoing.
