Cops close Observatory Street after building collapses

OBSERVATORY STREET in Belmont, Port of Spain, has been closed to traffic.

In a news release on August 2, police said the street is closed owing to the collapse of a building.

As a result, they said, Belmont Circular Road has been temporarily converted into a two-way street between Observatory Street and Charlotte Street.

Drivers should comply with the instructions of police officers who are on the scene diverting traffic away from the affected area.
