THREE men are assisting Southern Division police with inquiries into a robbery at a jewellery store at C3 Centre in Corinth, on the outskirts of San Fernando, before dawn on July 12.

The details were sketchy, but investigators said the thieves stole several items from Zina’s Jewellery. The value is yet to be ascertained.

They also stole a security guard’s car.

Ste Madeleine police were alerted and later arrested the men. The car was not found.

When Newsday visited the store, the front, including the entrance doors, was covered with black plastic bags, making it impossible to see inside. There was a “closed” sign on the door.

Many passers-by went about their business as usual, unaware of the incident earlier in the day.

Investigations are ongoing.
