30 steelbands qualify for Small Conventional semis
Thirty steelbands have qualified for the Small Conventional Bands semi-finals.
Pan Trinbago made the announcement at the opening of the scoresheets at the VIP Lounge, Queen's Park Savannah, Port of Spain on December 18, said a media release.
The Preliminaries began on December 7 and concluded on December 17. Forty-four steelbands participated across Pan Trinbago’s four regions, Tobago, Northern, Eastern and SouthCentral Regions.
The engagement with supporters and the one-on-one interaction in panyards and their respective communities added a rewarding dimension to the event, the release said.
Pan Trinbago president, Beverly Ramsey-Moore thanked all bands for their participation, the dynamic and team spirit they brought and wished all the bands good luck.
The semi-finals are set to take place on January 6, at 4 pm, Victoria Square, Port of Spain.
