Jerusalema singer Nomcebo Zikode coming for Carnival

Nomcebo Zikode, singer of the mega-global hit, Jerusalema, will perform in Trinidad and Tobago for Carnival 2023.
IS Promo and Gemini Production have contracted the phenomenal South African artiste to perform at their events, the promoters said in a media release.
Zikode’s Jerusalema has received combined views of near one billion on YouTube since its release in 2021 and has spawned a line dance craze worldwide.
This singer/songwriter will also be collaborating with local soca artistes on soca/Afrobeat-infused tracks to be released for the 2023 festival, the release said.
Zikode together with Ivory Coast vocalist Elody Amondji are also scheduled to collaborate with composer and producer Ian Wiltshire who wrote David Rudder’s Trini 2 The Bone. Also joining the creative team is young singer, composer and producer Mical Teja, the release said.
Zikode is also expected to begin the creative process for her soca/Afrobeat collaborations in early July, the release said.
