Wanted man shot dead in Santa Cruz

A 33-year-old Santa Cruz man who had outstanding warrants was shot dead on Monday night.

Residents of Cakes Land, La Canao, lower Santa Cruz, heard gunshots around 10.10 pm and called police. Before officers arrived, residents found Leroy "Kuchie" Ramlochan in a white Nissan Fielder with his head out the driver's window.

He also had what appeared to be a bullet wound to the abdomen.

Police said there were several warrants issued in Ramlochan's name. Investigations continue.
