Man shot dead in Brazil village

A 22-year-old Brazil man was gunned down near a mini mart on Tuesday night.

Police said Christian Stoll was walking along Gomez Avenue, Brazil, with a friend at around 10.30 pm when they saw a masked man with a gun at a nearby street corner.

The man told them, "Don't move," but the friend ran away.

Stoll was hit several times and the gunman ran off.

Residents heard the gunshots and called the police.

Members of the Northern Division Emergency Response Patrol went to the scene with a district medical officer who declared Stoll dead.

Police found four spent shells.

Homicide investigators are continuing enquiries.
