Biche man escapes police custody

Police are calling on the public to help them find a 34-year-old Biche resident who escaped custody.

The escapee, Devon Lewis, who lives at Charuma Village, is charged with assault with intent to rob.

A release on Sunday from the police said Lewis escaped police while being transported to the Valencia police post.

Lewis was last seen running south along Gilkes Street in Sangre Grande.

Police from the Eastern Division Task Force, CID, Valencia Police Post and the Canine Unit are searching for Lewis.
