BEACHGOERS are reminded to restrict gatherings on beaches to groups of ten to limit the spread of the virus.

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts has said there will be strict around-the-clock monitoring of its beach facilities s to make sure people are adhering to the covid19 health protocols.

In a media release on Saturday, the ministry said the beaches such as Maracas, Las Cuevas, Manzanilla and Vessigny Beach Facilities which fall under  itx direct responsibility will  open on Monday from 6 am-6 pm.

However, there will be no eating in the food establishments there.

“The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts is resolute in its commitment to the safety of the general public and will continue to do its part to reduce the spread of covid19,” it said.

The ministry said it was committed to ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all users of these beach facilities and their protection remains its highest priority.

“In this regard, we remind beachgoers that recommended personal protective measures against the transmission of covid19 as communicated by the Ministry of Health must be followed at these beach facilities.”

Beachgoers, the release said must wear their masks and practise social distancing.
