Mickela Panday unimpressed with budget

PATRIOTIC Front political leader Mickela Panday on Tuesday said she was not impressed with the 2020/2021 budget presented in the House of Representatives on Monday by Finance Minister Colm Imbert.

In a tweet, Panday said, "There is no doubt that the government has difficult decisions to make in uncertain economic times." But she added, "However, crisis is opportunity, it is time to think outside the box."

She lamented that Imbert's presentation underlined the approach of doing the same thing repeatedly but expecting different results.

The budget debate continues in the House on Friday, with the response of Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
