Police seek owner of loaded gun found at La Brea roadside

Police are calling on the public to help find the owner of a loaded gun found at the side of the road in La Brea on Tuesday morning.

While on an anti-crime exercise between 4.30 am and 8.30 am, police got a tip-off and went to High Road, where they found a .380 pistol with six rounds of ammunition and 45 grammes of marijuana.

A report said the items were hidden in the bush in a plastic bag.

Sgt Ali, Cpl George, and other officers from the South Western Division Task Force spoke to several people in the area, but no one admitted ownership.
