TRHA gets new CEO

Sheldon Cyrus is the newly appointed CEO of the Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA). Cyrus, who holds over 20 years in senior management experience and legal management consultation, was appointed on Monday.

Cyrus has expertise in health sector development and stakeholder management and has led organisations with human resource capacities of up to 5,000 employees, according to a release by the TRHA.

He also served as CEO of the North West Regional Health Authority (NWRHA), managing director at the TT Postal Corporation (TTPOST), general manager legal and corporate services at National Flour Mills, and business analyst for Pannell Kerr Forster.

Cyrus has also provided corporate legal services for RBTT Financial Holdings Ltd, Tourism Development Company (TDC) and the Public Transport Services Corporation (PTSC). He previously sat in the position as chairman of COSTAATT, and was a member of the boards of T&TEC and the Mediation Board of TT.

Cyrus will take up the duties of Michelle Edwards-Benjamin who acted as CEO of the authority during the period November 2018 to June 2019.
