Pure Players win Mason Hall football

Pure Players showed the energy, stamina and determination to capture the winner take all $10,000 prize in the 9v9 football tournament hosted by the Mason Hall Empowerment Group at the Elizabeth Dennis Baird recreation ground in Mason Hall recently.

Pure Players, a specially assembled team for the tournament, featured some of the more prominent footballers on the island.

In the championship game, Pure Players registered a 3-1 result over Plymouth to walk away with the grand prize. Plymouth had earlier beaten Whim 4-1 in the semi finals. Pure Players overcame Mason Hall Police Youth Club 3-1 in their semifinal. Kedas International and Mason Hall Gunners were the other teams in the one-day tournament.
