An emotional Darryl Sookdeo said yesterday that since his father went missing on Sunday, he took a decision to leave the gate leading to his home open hoping that his father would drive into the garage smiling as he usually did.

Indarjit Sookdeo, 65, of Carapichaima was last seen on Sunday at about 2 pm when he left his son’s Felicity home. He told relatives he was going out for a short while.

Searches were carried out between Sunday night and yesterday. Several parts of Felicity were combed by Darryl. He said he even searched the cemetery and the area of the cremation site but, there was no sight of his father or even the B13 car he was driving.

A distressed Darryl said, “All I want is for my father to drive through the yard and come home, I don’t know what happened to him but we are fearing the worst especially with the high incidence of crime in the country.

Darryl made a passionate plea to anyone with information regarding his father to contact him at 321-2658.

He is also appealing to officers of the Anti-kidnapping Unit to use the necessary technology to ascertain who his father spoke with last and the last location of his phone.
