BATT opens hurricane fund
THE Bankers Association (BATT) in collaboration with the United Way Trinidad and Tobago, has established the United Way TT-Hurricane Relief 2017 fund for those who have been severely affected by recent hurricanes.
The association is inviting members of the public to make donations to the recovery process in account with the name, United Way TT-Hurricane Relief 2017 at BATT’s members.
A BATT release said, “All funds raised will be donated to the United Way Trinidad and Tobago, who will ensure the funds are used for the purpose of helping those in need in the Caribbean.”
The banks and their account numbers are, Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago Limited, 4007455; First Citizens Bank Limited, 2437243; RBC Royal Bank of Trinidad and Tobago, 110000003633988; Republic Bank Limited, 180 999 410 901; JMMB Bank, 615526-0201; and First Caribbean International Bank (Trinidad and Tobago), 1003517.
Meanwhile, the Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation (TTPost) says it has been receiving numerous hurricane relief donations from citizens and corporate entities at TTPost Corporate Shops throughout the country.
The items are transported by the TTPost transport team daily to the National Mail Centre in Piarco. Its continued partnership with the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management and other agencies of the Ministry of National Security, TTPost said, has enabled frequent movement of the donated items via air and sea to those in need.
