Arima man gunned down

Police are investigating the murder of an Arima man after he was gunned down metres away from his home tonight.

According to police, at around 7.45 pm, Kyron Bartholomew was reversing his Nissan Wagon at Calvary Hill, Arima, when he was shot several times by an unseen attacker.

Police said there were no street lights on the road and residents could only see the light from gunfire.

Bartholomew was taken to the Arima hospital by residents where he died while receiving treatment.

Newsday understands Bartholomew was arrested twice before. His killing is the third murder since the start of new year.
