David West the tailor?

THE EDITOR: If I didn’t know better, I would swear that David West, head of the Police Complaints Authority, is a tailor. That is, if I am to judge by the ticker tape on one of the country’s leading television stations on the night that the PCA released its report on the day of “total policing.”

Reporting on then acting National Security Minister Stuart Young’s statement that the PCA (West) should be careful about making pronouncements, the station naively tickered that West should “thread carefully.”
