Ramsey-Moore robbed at gunpoint
Former Tobago House of Assembly member Beverley Ramsey-Moore was robbed at gunpoint yesterday at her Black Rock home in Tobago.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Garfield Moore said a gunman entered the home at about noon and announced a hold-up. The home was ransacked and a quantity of cash was taken before the gunman escaped in a car belonging to Ramsey-Moore’s husband, Ian Moore.
Newsday understands from a friend of the family that the event has left Ramsey-Moore shaken. The suspect, believed to be in his early 20s, entered the home with a jersey over his head and covering his face. Police was told the perpetrator believed Ramsey-Moore, the manager of the Katzenjammers Steel Orchestra, had a large sum of money after news that fees from Panorama 2017 were recently released. Ramsey-Moore usually awards all band members with additional cash, apart from the participation fee from Pan Trinbago, when they successfully qualify for the Panorama finals. Members of the Old Grange Police Station are continuing investigations.
