Dat's Xtravagant News! airs at Queen's Hall
Dat's Xtravagant News! will be presented at Queen's Hall, St Ann's, this weekend by RS/RR Productions.
The latest comedy from playwright Ricardo Samuel features some of Trinidad and Tobago’s top talent, guaranteed to deliver laughter and excitement, a media release said.
Debra Boucaud-Mason, a seasoned actress and a leading directors brings her 18 years of experience to the helm of this lively comedy. Her award-winning directorial work earned her a Cacique Award in 2007.
Zo-Mari Tanker, a multi-talented performer and marketing professional, brings her vibrant energy to the stage in Dat's Xtravagant News! With a career spanning from childhood performances to lead roles in theatre, Zo-Mari’s versatility and charisma make her a force to watch, the release said.
Natasha Lake, who has made a name for herself in both the UK and Trinidad, brings her wealth of acting experience to this hilarious production. The release said her ability to move seamlessly between television, radio, and stage performances ensures a captivating portrayal in this latest comedy.
With performances by Leslie Ann Lavine, Jayron "Rawkus" Remy, Nicholas Subero, Saul Ramlal, and Meegan Dass, and also under the direction of Richard Ragoobarsingh, Dat's Xtravagant News! promises a rollercoaster of emotions, exploring love, truth, and the chaos of life’s battles for happiness, the release said.
On September 28, the comedy begins at 8.30 pm and on September 29, at 6:30 pm.
The show moves to the Southern Academy of the Performing Arts (SAPA), on October 5 and 6.
Tickets are available at the Queen’s Hall box office from 10 am-6 pm daily and at regular outlets. Online transfer is also available.
