Middle Distance League runs off with cross-country on September 22

Secondary Schools’ Track and Field (SSTF) kicks off its 2024 Middle Distance League with the Trinidad Cross-Country Run at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain on September 22, from 3pm.

The day for the Tobago leg of the Cross-Country Run which takes place at the Mt Irvine Golf Course is to be announced.

SSTF’s next event is the TT 5K. This year, the 5K is scheduled for all three regions — North, Tobago and South — on October 10, 15 and 24. respectively. All events begin at 9am.

The Middle Distance League culminates with the Third Run. The first race takes place in the south/central region. The Hill Run happens gets under way on November 5 in San Fernando. Two days later, they head to Tobago.

Rounding up the Third Run is the north region on November 15. All Third Run races begin at 9 am.

In each event of the Middle Distance League, there is a students’ category and an Open category where members of the public can participate. There are prizes and medals to be awarded in each category.
