32 potted marijuana plants were seized during a raid on a property in Roxborough, Tobago on March 22.

A TTPS press release on Tuesday said that the exercise was part of a joint operation involving police and soldiers and was initiated following intelligence gathered during earlier surveillance work by police.

Officers of the Tobago Divisional Task Force, supported by the Canine Unit, the InterAgency Task Force (IATF)/Guard and Emergency Branch (GEB), and the TT Regiment were involved in the raid which took place between 11 am and 2 pm in the Rose Hill, Delaford area.

During the operation, officers secured the area and conducted a search on several houses. At one of the residences, they discovered a grow house containing multiple cannabis plants in plastic pots. Two suspects were arrested in connection with the find.

The narcotics seized has an estimated street value of $13,000. PC Thorpe of the Tobago Divisional Task Force is leading inquiries.
