Flow celebrates admin professionals

Administrative professionals at Flow met for a day of self-development, food and laughter, when the company celebrated Administrative Professionals Day at its Trincity head office.

Flow's vice president Simone Martin-Sulgan said the company recognises the importance of personal and professional development of its staff in their career journey. "As with everything in life, we are always learning and our priority of providing a growth environment in the workplace remains key for us as we commit to the continued growth of this group of professionals,” Martin-Sulgan said in a media release.

The release said the two LinkedIn Learning training sessions, chosen by administrative professionals on April 28, were How to Become a Thought Leader and Advance Your Career, and Developing a Critical Thinking Mindset.

LinkedIn Learning was officially introduced by the company in June 2021 and offers free access to online learning resources covering a broad range of topics. Employees can access video courses covering topics that help them at work, as well as recommended materials and courses based on preferences. The platform includes content from industry experts as well as curated content that aligns with the company’s priorities, including an equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) learning path, the release said.

Reneasha Simmons, senior manager – people at Flow said, “We believe that learning is a journey, not a destination. So, our aim is to make our employees’ learning and development journey engaging, modern, collaborative and learner-centred by using multiple channels to guarantee meaningful learning experiences.”

Under the theme A Celebration of You, the event included fun team building activities and a luncheon, the release said.
