THE Heritage Petroleum Company Ltd donated $100,000 to the Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

A release on Monday said the company signed the agreement for the donation to support its environmental, social and governance programme.

The company’s CEO Arlene Chow said the pandemic has caused domestic violence incidences to increase both locally and globally.

“We hope our contribution helps the coalition with the invaluable work they have undertaken to address this crisis.”

The coalition provides services aimed at ensuring children, women, and men live in an environment free from physical, emotional, sexual, and psychological violence, the release said.

Board member of the coalition Roberta Clarke said ending all forms of domestic violence was everyone’s responsibility.

“We all need to move from being bystanders to upstanders, speak out against perpetrators and support victims and survivors. This coalition is appreciative of the partnership with Heritage, which continues to exemplify corporate social responsibility.”
