Cops recover car linked to Arouca kidnapping in Penal

Police recovered a white Kia Cerato in Penal which they believe was involved in the December 13, kidnapping and robbery of an Arouca man.

According to a police report, last Sunday, around 4 pm the victim was driving out of his garage in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca when he was stopped by a man armed with a gun.

Reports said the gunman ordered the man to the back seat of the car and drove off with the car.

Moments later, the owner was thrown out of the car in Tunupuna and he subsequently made a report to the police.

On Friday, police of the Penal Criminal Investigations Department (CID) found the car abandoned in Sou Sou Lands, Penal.

Investigators said the car had a fake registration plate.

Arouca Police are investigating.
