Four held for gang offences

AN early morning exercise targetting senior members of the Rasta City gang in Beetham Gardens yesterday led to the arrests of four men believed to be involved in the gang and a string of robberies throughout the country.

Police said members of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT) and the Organised Crime Investigations Unit (OCIU) went to the homes of the men between late Tuesday night and early yesterday morning where they were arrested.

The men were suspects in the robbery and home invasions of several businessmen, most recently the robbery of T and A Grocery in Tunapuna.
