Pan judges in south/central tonight

JUDGING in the panyards begins tonight in the south central region, from 6 pm.

The first of the single pan bands to be judged will be Rio Claro Koskeros on Railway Road, Rio Claro, then the judges will journey to the central region to hear Edinburgh 500 Steel Ensemble at its panyard in Lapwing Crescent, Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas.

Next stop for the judging panel is Pan Angels at LP 55 Badase St, Enterprise Village, Enterprise and the final band to be judged will be New Age Trendsetters, resident on Francois Street, Enterprise, Chaguanas.

Tomorrow, the judging in the south/central region continues at the panyard of Jah Roots on Warden Road, Point Fortin from 6 pm, and will close off judging in the region at the panyard of Highlighters in Gasparillo.

Over the next few days 63 single pan bands will view for 20 places in the National Finals on February 3 at the Basketball Court, Arima, from 4 pm.

This year’s Panorama is in tribute to cultural icons – Ken “Professor” Philmore, Winston Bailey (Shadow) and Winston Scarborough also known as D’Original De Fosto Himself, with the tag line Catching the Rhythm…Feeling The Spirit….. Prosperity In Pan.

Defending Champions, Newtown Playboys Steel Symphony, is the last band to be judged in the Northern Region on January 29.
