Live Music District launches today

TRUE to its promise, the Government’s Live Music District launches today.

The launch is being held through the Trinidad and Tobago Music Company Limited (musicTT), The Trinidad and Tobago Creative Industries Company Limited (creativeTT) in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry. It will take place from 6 pm to 9 pm at The Residence, One Woodbrook Place.

The live music district was announced as part of the Government’s 2018 budget. Finance Minister Colm Imbert announced last October that along with the development of an Export Ready Academy which “will assist local artistes with producing marketing and exporting their music”, the live music district would be similar to international music districts and would provide “the appropriate space for live music and other music activities year-round.”
