Woman hit by car

A 66-year-old woman was fatally struck by a car while trying to cross the Diego Martin Highway yesterday morning.

Etta Reid of Powder Magazine was near the intersection of Morne Coco Road and Four Roads at 5.15 am, when she was hit by a silver Nissan B13 driven by 57-year-old Bevon Phillip.

She died at the scene.

Reid’s body was removed to the Forensic Science Centre in St James, where an autopsy is expected to be done.
