Champ Fleurs man in court for murder of insurance consultant

A Champs Fleurs man today appeared before a Tunapuna magistrate charged with the murder of insurance consultant Kwame Carr in September.

David Raphael Bernard, aka "Jarro," appeared before a senior magistrate in Tunapuna for Carr’s murder as well as shooting at his friend, also an insurance consultant, on September 18.

Carr, of Santa Margarita, St Augustine, and his friend, also an insurance consultant, were at Spring Valley Road, Mt D’Or, when they were shot.

Carr was hit in the head and foot and died at the scene, while the other man was hit in his left thigh. Carr’s body was found under a tamarind tree.

Bernard will return to court on November 15.
