Father convicted of child cruelty

A father convicted of child cruelty has been ordered by a Port of Spain Magistrate to pay a $3,000 fine.

The East Dry River, Port of Spain, father of three was found guilty of beating his 14-year-old daughter in June of last year.

The girl reported the beating to a school social worker.
