Rowley: Places of worship may have hour-long services
Places of worship is the first to receive the green light to resume operations from the Prime Minister, on Saturday, who warned that as the country is returning to some sense of normalcy, common sense must prevail.
Dr Rowley said like what happened in August when there was an ease in restrictions, places of worship will have hour-long services with 50 per cent capacity.
“All places of worship will resume for services that should not last beyond an hour. An hour is a fair amount of time, as busy as God is, to spend with you.”
He asked that people “not play smart” and have police visit their places of worship to count how many are in attendance. He said the heads of those involved in ecclesiastical affairs must know the capacity of their places of worship. He advised that they rotate services to have multiple services rather than being over packed.
