Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith has made a dream come true for six-year-old Mario Narine.

Inspired by the work of Griffith, Mario, who was born without legs, had expressed his desire to become a police officer. Griffith surprised the boy when he visited his home at Bissoon Trace, Fyzabad yesterday with Christmas toys for him. Mario uses prosthetic legs and is a first year student of Pepper Village Government Primary School in Fyzabad.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Patsy Joseph, who is in charge of community relations, requested the meeting which the South Western Division arranged, the TTPS said on Twitter.

Community police Sgt Roger Worrell, PC Sudesh Sammy and WPC Melissa Sylvester also visited Mario and invited him to become a member of the Fyzabad Police Youth Club.
