REVENGE may have been the motive behind the murder of Allison Ballah, also known as “Bling Bling,” in Scarborough on Wednesday morning.

A police source told Newsday on Thursday morning that as investigators delve deeper into the case, they are considering revenge as the possible motive behind the killing.

Ballah, 56, of Young Street, Scarborough, a retail businessman originally from Trinidad, was shot multiple times in the head and shoulder just after 8 am at the Port Mall, lower Milford Road, Scarborough.

He was the island’s eighth murder victim for the year.

Officers from the Tobago Divisional Task Force and Scarborough Police Station retrieved four spent 9mm shell casings from the scene.

DMO Oneil Potts pronounced him dead on the scene at 10.15 am and ordered his body removed to the Scarborough Mortuary for an autopsy.

The gunman was spotted running out of the Port Mall Car Park towards a drain in the Sangster’s Hill area a short while after the gunshots were heard.
