La Brea pensioner murdered

LA Brea pensioner Raymond Antoine, was murdered at his home on Wednesday.

His body, which bore wounds to the chest, was discovered by his caretaker.

Antoine, 61, lived alone at Park Avenue, Point D’or, La Brea.

Police reports said, shortly after midday on Wednesday, Antoine’s caretaker went to his home when she discovered the back door on the upper floor opened.

She called out to him but got no response.

She entered the building and, after going through the different rooms, discovered his body lying on the living room floor in a pool of blood.

His body bore a wound to the left side of his chest.

The caretaker contacted the police and WCPL Seales and PC Blaize of the La Brea Police Station responded.

Snr Supt Remy and ASP Simon also visited the scene.

The body was removed to the San Fernando General Hospital. An autopsy is to be done at the Forensic Science Centre, St James.
