Digicel topped all of Ookla's broadband-speed tests for quarter two of 2023.

Ookla is a global company that provides network intelligence and connectivity insights through its renowned speedtest and downdetector platforms.

In a release, Ookla's performance report for TT showed Digicel was the fastest provider for downloading and uploading, while it had the lowest median multi-server latency in TT, at seven milliseconds and highest in consistency for fixed broadband.

These results were found while comparing the other service providers – Amplia, Flow and Blink.

Digicel's ranking for download speed was 99.11 megabits per second (Mbps), followed by Flow at 94.15 Mbps, Amplia – 93.42 Mbps – and Blink at 9.46 Mbps.

As for uploading, Digicel came first with 98.32 Mbps then Amplia with 86.36 Mbps, Flow with 24.08 Mbps and Blink with 5.51 Mbps.

In this category, Digicel had the lowest median, with seven milliseconds (ms), and Amplia came in second with nine ms. Flow and Blink followed after, with 18 ms and 34 ms respectively.

Digicel was also ranked highest in consistency in TT with 88.4 per cent, followed closely by Amplia with 86.5 per cent. Flow stood at 82.7 per cent and Blink at 30.1 per cent.

As for mobile connections, Digicel topped most of the categories aside from multi-server latency, where it stood at 37 ms compared to Bmobile that had 31 ms.

Digicel's download connection stood at 37.34 Mbps and its upload was 11.18 Mbps, while Bmobile had 21.08 Mbps in downloads and 10.78 Mbps in uploads.

Digicel's consistency was 87.7 per cent and Bmobile's 82.9 per cent.
