Drip drip not filling a cup

THE EDITOR: The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) recently reported that it had repaired the damaged 48-inch main at the Caroni Water Treatment Plant. According to WASA, approximately 250,000 customers in north Trinidad were without water for three days.

This is untrue because the communities of Belmont, Gonzales and other areas including Laventille have been without water for five weeks. Water is essential for everyone, but these communities are constantly forced to ration the source of all life. This ongoing stress is unacceptable and has to be addressed.

Most times there isn't a drip in any tap to fill even a cup. And when the drip does start, its "bronze blessing" is hard not to notice.

WASA, please provide us with the chance to fill our bucket – all communities.
