Round one matches abandoned in CWI Under-17 cricket

ALL first round matches in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Rising Stars Boys Under-17 tournament were abandoned because of rain in Trinidad, on Tuesday.

Home team TT were scheduled to play Jamaica at Inshan Ali Park, Leeward Islands were carded to battle Windward Islands at Gilbert Park and Barbados were expected to face Guyana at the National Cricket Centre.

The tournament is being played in a round robin format ending on July 27.

The teams will hope for sunny skies in round two which bowls off at 9.30 am, on Thursday.
