Shamsi, Prince clash in Sagicor tennis finals

TOP-ranked Zahra Shamsi and second-seeded Gabriella Prince will face off in the girls Under-14 singles final on the closing day of the 2022 Sagicor Junior Tennis tournament at the Eddie Taylor Public Courts, Nelson Mandela Park, St Clair, on Thursday.

Both players won their semifinal matches in straight sets, on Wednesday.

Shamsi defeated Naomi Mohammed 6-1, 6-4 and Prince outlasted Arya Siewrattan 6-3, 6-4.

In the boys Under-14 singles semifinals, second-seeded Keyondre Duke got past Jovan Garibana 6-0, 6-1 and Connor Carrington was a 7-6 (3), 4-6, 10-7 winner over Aaron Subero.
