THE Prime Minister announced a raft of stricter covid19 public health regulations on Thursday at 2.30 pm, all aimed at halting the spread of the virus.

On the very same day Dr Rowley made his announcements, the country that day recorded a whopping 328 new infections (a new record), and two more deaths.

Among the new restrictions announced was the closure of all restaurants and bars.

The latest restrictions will come into effect on Friday until May 23.

Newsday photographers Lincoln Holder and Ayanna Kinsale went out and about on Thursday – after the Prime Minister's announcements – to see how Trinis reacted. Here's what Trinis did.
