Michael Hudlin's concert, For Faith and Music: A Mass for the People, which features the music of legendary composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, will soon be streamed online.

The concert held at All Saints Anglican Church, Port of Spain, was the TT premiere of the mass, Missa Brevis in F Major by Mozart, and featured a combination of classical music with a pre-show of traditional Caribbean folk, said a media release from Black Collar Creative.

Alto Janine Charles-Farray sings the traditional folk song, Majorie Murdock. -

The sold-out event on March 26 blended voices, piano and pan under Hudlin's direction. Performers included Aniya Carty-Hart, Samantha Stanislaus, Jendayi Toussaint, Janine Charles-Farray, Edward Cumberbatch, Carl-Anthony Hines, Mark Anthony Peter, Daniel De Cranie-Pierre, Jamel Williams and Tiana Chandler, with musical accompaniment by pianist Andrew Samlal and The Lydian Steel.

The concert will be streamed during a time window of 6 pm on April 23 to 12 pm on April 26 at the website: events.jewelboxbyjr.com.

The event was Hudlin’s final recital concert which was required before completing his Master of Music in Conducting – Choral, from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.

In accordance with the public health protocols, several safety measures were put in place and enforced by the concert producer, Chandelier Productions. The release said, "Glowing reviews continue to pour in for the young conductor, and his musical endeavours with Chandelier Productions are set to continue for Christmas 2021 with details to be announced soon."
