National Petroleum's estate police are working with the police to investigate a robbery at NATPET Investments Company Ltd, in Sea Lots, where bandits stole a number of LPG gas tanks on Sunday.

In a release on Monday, NP confirmed that on Sunday, at about 4.30 am, an “unconfirmed number” of gas cylinders were taken from the compound.

The release said an investigation is currently at a sensitive stage, but assured that the theft would not affect the supply of LPG to consumers.

“We wish to make an appeal to customers to maintain their normal purchasing patterns and avoid panic buying or hoarding cylinders which will only serve to create LPG shortages,” NP said.
