4 covid19 cases in 3 days

FOUR more people tested positive for covid19 in the three days from March 4 to 6, said the Ministry of Health's latest update on Sunday.

The total number of active cases in TT now stands at 98. No new deaths were reported since Saturday, with the death toll still at 139.

So far since last March, 98,965 tests were done of which 46,477 (or almost half) were done at private facilities.

TT in all has had 7,736 cases of infection, of which some 7,499 patients recovered.

At present 12 covid19 patients are in hospital, five in step-down facilities, 478 in State quarantine and 77 in home self-isolation. The ministry will hold its usual virtual briefing on Monday at 11 am.
