IT'S not every day your average six-year-old gets the undivided attention of a government minister...but then again little Zane appears not to be an average youth.

The youngster was able to visit  National Security Minister Stuart Young on Monday at the latter's Port of Spain office, where the two discussed "interesting" matters, details of which a release from Young's ministry did not disclose. The meeting came after Zane's parents messaged Young indicating his great desire for a face-to-face meeting with the minister.

Arrangements were made and according to very senior and well-placed sources, once young Zane was thoroughly briefed on not bringing any crayons or markers into the ministry, the all-clear was given for the meeting.

The release said Zane and his parents met with Young and had a "very interesting conversation."

The meeting ended with Young being able to wiggle out a promise from the youngster for the two of them to go fishing when covid19 restrictions are lifted.
