Alleged Wallerfield kidnappers denied bail

Three men who were held in relation to the assault and kidnapping of a 20-year-old Valencia man were denied bail when they appeared before an Arima magistrate on Thursday.

A police media release on Thursday reported that Kevin Wolfe, 31, Matthew Ceasar, 21, and Allasafe Huggins, 29, appeared before magistrate Cheron Raphael jointly charged with kidnapping and assault by beating.

They were remanded into custody and are expected to return to court on November 26. It was reported that a 20-year-old Valencia man was beaten while he was standing on Antigua Road in Wallerfield on Tuesday afternoon. He was forced into a black car which was later intercepted by police and several men arrested and the victim rescued.
