Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh says TT is in a "pretty good position" with regards to its daily caseload.

He was speaking at a press conference in Tobago on Saturday afternoon.

He said, "We are averaging 30 to 40 cases per day, and when you take away the imported cases, we are in the late 20s to early 30s. That is a pretty good position to be in.

"It has been a team effort of all 1.4 million people. We did this together – members of the public, the business community, medical workers and so on."

But he warned if the public does not continue to comply with the public health recommendations, these numbers will "spoil very easily.

"Strangely, the average number of daily cases shows no sign of slowing down globally although we are in the opposite direction."
