9 reported missing in October so far

NINE people, including eight teenagers, have been reported missing by police in October, with only one of them being accounted for so far.

The latest person to go missing, according to the police, is Amy Linda Lutchman, 15, who was last seen at her Depot Road, Longdenville home at 12.15 pm on October 12.

She was reported missing to the Longdenville Police Post that same say.

A release from the police said the teenager is of East Indian descent, five foot tall, slim built, and has a light brown complexion and long black wavy hair. She was last seen wearing a grey long-sleeved T-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.

A check of e-mailed releases from the police for October showed that on October 11, police from the Valencia post began a search for Maria Paul of Plantation Road, Valencia. Paul, 15, is of East Indian descent, four foot three inches tall with a slim build. She is brown in complexion, has straight hair, brown eyes, a pointed chin and a straight nose.

She was last seen on October 9 and was reported missing on the same day.

Another release said Shaniqua Ifill was reported missing by relatives on October 7, but in a release on October 12, police said the 16-year-old had been found, is in good condition and is now in the care of her father.

Police reported that 17-year-old Kevelle Renaud of Sixth Street, Malick, Barataria went missing on October 6. She is of African descent, five foot seven inches tall with a medium build, dark brown complexion, braided black hair, round face, brown eyes, thin eyebrows, a pug nose and small mouth and ears. She has a scar on her forehead and was last seen wearing a short navy blue dress with thin straps.

The police also reported Jada Dove, 14, missing on October 6. Dove, from Rio Claro Trace, Junction Road, Rio Claro, was last seen around 11 am that day. She is of African descent, five foot four inches tall, with a medium build, brown complexion, long black hair, round face, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink skirt and white top.

On October 2, 25-year-old Renaldo Quamina was reported missing to the Couva police. He was last seen at his Indian Village, Couva home at 10.30 am that day. He is of African descent, five foot five inches tall, with a dark brown complexion with a black afro hairstyle and a slim build.

Shakti Joseph, 16, was last seen on October 4 at her Wallerfield home and reported missing on the same date. She is of mixed descent, slim built, fair complexion and five foot six inches tall. She was last seen wearing a pink floral dress.

Police reported that 16-year-old Melissa Paul was last seen at her Pine Settlement, Sangre Grande home at 9.30 pm on October 3 and a report was made the following day to the Sangre Grande Police Station.

Melissa is of mixed descent, five foot seven inches tall and slim built, with a light brown complexion and long straight black hair. She was last seen wearing a white top and a pink skirt.

Finally, Salina Santoo, 15, of Macaulay Trace, Claxton Bay was last seen at her home at 9 pm on October 2 and a relative reported her missing to the St Margaret’s Police Station the following day. Santoo is of East Indian descent, five foot six and slim-built, with a light brown complexion. She also has a tattoo of the letter "F" between the thumb and index finger of her right hand.
