CRICKET West Indies (CWI) CEO Johnny Grave is satisfied with the level of support from the regional governments in facilitating the process in getting all West Indies players to Antigua within the next week.

A 25-man West Indies squad is expected to arrive in England on Tuesday for their three-match Test series which was uncertain for months due to the covid19 pandemic. The series will take place once the United Kingdom Government approves it.

Travel restrictions are in place throughout the Caribbean, therefore regional governments will have to open the doors for the cricketers to get to Antigua before the entire squad travels to England.

In a Whatsapp message, Grave said he is happy with the feedback. "Everyone has been supportive so far. We are just waiting on the final details of the charters before we can provide them with all the information they require."

The TT borders are closed, but Minister of National Security Stuart Young said the TT cricketers on the team will be allowed to leave TT for Antigua.

At a covid19 media briefing on Saturday, Young said, "I reached out to the CEO of Cricket West Indies this morning asking for them to provide us with the details for the TT players. They want to go on that tour to England and it will be facilitated.”
