Sankar, Mohammed star in Under-17 cricket trial

SHIVA Sankar and Tariq Mohammed were among the standout performers when a 50-over trial match was held for the TT Under-17 cricketers at the National Cricket Centre in Couva, yesterday.

Bowling for the B team Chadeon Raymond took 2/46 in eight overs.

In reply, the B team were bundled out for 155 in 46.4 overs with Jabari Phillip slamming 59 off 83 balls with four fours and three sixes. Kyle Roopchand contributed 18 for the B team, but 4/6 from five overs by Shiva Sankar ensured the A team got the easy win. Isaiah Gomez snatched 2/13 in five overs to help limit the A team.
