MIC Tigers win fourth straight

MIC Tigers continued their impressive run in the Courts All Sectors Netball League’s Alternative Division on Thursday, securing an impressive 24-18 victory over title challengers Bermudez.

Meghan Lessey led all scorers in the match with 15 goals from 24 attempts for the winners. Aaliyah Modeste chipped in with 9/15 as the Tigers maintained their steady lead in the standings after four wins from as many matches in the division this season..

Although Bermudez were unable to create sufficient chances to properly test MIC, goal-shoot Nakallah Daniel (10/12) and goal-attack Dorrene Torres (8/11) were clinical with their limited opportunities.

In the two other Alternative Division matches, Jabloteh slumped to yet another defeat, losing to TT Post 19-18, while Police Youth Club outclassed Las Lomas in a 26-13 victory.

Matches in the Premiership and Championship Division resumed yesterday at the Eastern Regional Indoor Sports Arena, Tacarigua.
