KRYSTIANA Sankar, the former step-daughter of National Security Minister Stuart Young, has been released from prison after her parents were able to secure her $6 million bail.

Sankar, who is charged with three other for trafficking $3.8 million in cocaine and marijuana, was released at approximately 3.50 pm today.

Sankar is one of the four accused in the multi-million-dollar drug bust at an apartment at Regents Gardens, Westmoorings, on December 4.

Last Monday, Sankar and Yannis Pebbles Augustine, were each granted $6 million bail by Stroude. There has been no reduction in their bail amounts but the magistrate approved an application for two properties to cover the $6 million for both women. Augustine has not yet been able to access her bail. All four were advised to apply to a judge for a variation of their bail amounts. They will return to court on January 8.

Bail was also granted to a third accused this morning. Jervon Cole was yesterday granted bail of $6.2 million by Stroude and Atiba Eligon was again denied bail because of his previous convictions on drug-related charges.
